Happy Tails: Sweet Potato

Hi Lollypop Farm,
We adopted Sweet Potato, a 10 year old female Brittany, on August 19, 2012. Sweet Potato, we knew, came with some serious health issues, such as a very significant heart murmur, etc., but we knew we had to adopt her anyway. She moved into our hearts and home like she had lived with us forever. Two days after we brought her home, we noticed she was sneezing. We quickly got her in for her vet check, and she had developed pneumonia. The amazing thing was that she pulled through, grew her beautiful coat back, and become such a joy to each family member in our home. She was like an angel from heaven, a doggie blessing to us. On March 19, 2013, Sweet Potato sadly passed away, taking part of our hearts with her. She had a cancerous tumor on her liver that hemorrhaged. We just wanted to let you know that we think that she was the most perfect dog ever, and our lives were immensely touched by her sweet life. The information that was on her cage at Lollypop Farm the day we adopted her said something like, “Sweet Potato...her name is what she is—sweet.”
Thank you for allowing us to adopt Sweet Potato. We miss her dearly.

Adopt James
James is 8 years old and in great health. James is a gorgeous sweetheart that just wants to be loved. He is definitely a lover, not a fighter. He would be happy in pretty much any home as long as there is attention and of course FOOD.
UPDATE: As of 11/17/08 poor James has been at the shelter for one year. Can you find it in your heart to take this big, lovable guy home?
