Then our guide spotted this lion, a few yards to the left. At first he was on his side asleep and he was actually very difficult to spot without the aid of binoculars or a long camera lens. To make him visible this and the other shots have been heavily processed to bring him out of the deep shadows. In fact until he started rolling on his back it was hard to tell he was there at all.
