This image depicts students of my Marine Biology course aboard the sailing vessel Sirena.

Students and I brought back a bucketful ofGoniolithon chunks after a snorkel nearby. Goniolithon is a coralline red algae that provides protection for a multitude of marine animals.

After dinner, we set up a makeshift lab in the cockpit of the boat and went about a macrooexploration of the life of the area. These are always good for several hours of focused exploratory learning.
